Korea District Heating Corporation (KDHC), a state-owned utility in Korea, created an AI mascot called 'Ttasomi' in 2024 that carries its brand identity, and uses it as the presenter in short-form videos on its programs and corporate news. The mascot avatar was built with AiVATAR AI Mascot, and KDHC produces each episode itself and publishes it on its YouTube channel. Using a brand character instead of a photorealistic avatar removes both likeness clearances and reshoots, and because the mascot speaks as an avatar there is no frame-by-frame animation per episode. It is an example of a state-owned enterprise running an AI mascot.
